Gossip mill — A Nigerian gossip website, revealed the identity of the young man to be one Collins Gideon, a student of Otefe Polytechnic in Delta State. Even though the picture which accompanied the malicious report showed him appearing naked and sitting in bed with another male, it did not suggest that any sexual activity whatsoever took place. To prove and establish that this is indeed a case of blackmail, the photograph did not show the face of the other person in the picture with him, as it seems to have been intentionally cut out. It was also revealed that the young man serves as a chorister in one of the popular Christian churches in the country. Hateful comments trolling the website by Nigerians on the news showed a deep level of ignorance and as well their faulted understanding on homosexuality and Christianity. NoStrings has not yet confirmed the authenticity of this report.
By Jonathan Higbee. The situation in Nigeria for its gay citizens continues to deteriorate. In early February, shortly after the African nation officially criminalized homosexuality, a suspected gay couple was forced to have sex in front of an angry mob. But late last week and over the weekend the violent mob rule intensified. In Abuja, Nigeria's capital, a mob of more than 50 people forced 14 suspected gay men to march through the streets naked last week. Once in the Gishiri neighborhood, the mob beat the men with nail-studded clubs, whips, iron bars and anything else that could be weaponized. Police joined the mob in beating the men, with one man nearly dying from the injuries he sustained. Some had broken furniture. They said they wanted to kill.
Reports have just emerged from a remote part of Nigeria, that three men have been brutally assaulted and humiliated after allegedly being caught having gay sex. According to eyewitness reports, the three men from Ekwe a village close to Umuka in Njaba LGA of Imo state, were stripped naked, tied in ropes and paraded publicly by their community. They were then brutally beaten and whisked to the elder of the village, on Monday 14 January according to the daily The Premium Times. Other reports state that, in fact, four men were assaulted and a close examination of the photo seems to confirm a forth man to the left of the three pictured. The group also appealed to Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, to intervene to save the lives of the men. The two are currently facing court proceedings, if found guilty they may face up to 14 years imprisonment.
Propagandists in the media throw around the word patriarchy as if it is synonymous with anything male. As ex-mormons, can anyone here offer some insight about this girl, her religion, and what exactly I may be getting myself into if I continue dating her. JS married a girl her age when he was 37, after having told her that he had been threatened by an angel with a flaming sword and promising her entire family salvation if she consentedI decided to read the ces letter.
